Free School Meals/Uniform Grant 2020/2021

The Education Authority (EA) for Northern Ireland is responsible for assessing eligibility for Free School Meals and School Uniform Allowances based on Department of Education (DE) / Department for the Economy (DfE) criteria.

Jobs & Benefits offices are open to provide verification of benefits(Income Support/Income Based Job Seeker's Allowance/Income Related Employment Support Allowance) for free school meals and uniform grant applications.

Claimants must complete ONLY ONE APPLICATION FORM; either as stated below a pre-populated form which has been sent to you or a paper application which you can download from the EA website or an online application.

Free School Meals / Uniform Grant Applications 2020/21

• Current eligible families - Claimants who are currently in receipt of support for the 2019/20 year will receive a pre-populated form for the 2020/21 year which must be completed and returned as soon as possible. Forms to begin arriving week commencing 6 July 2020.
